The past 4 years

May 19, 2018

Hi there,

Four years ago, everything changed. I sold my company Braintree, left my childhood religion, ended a 13 year marriage, and emerged from a decade long bout with crushing depression. From there, I began a journey to re-architect myself.

I’m excited to share what’s happened since with work, life, and love.

1. While you may know about my latest company Kernel, this week I wrote about investing $100M via OS Fund over the past four years. In my humble and biased opinion, this passion project has since become one of the most promising biotech portfolios in the world and performance is in the top decile among U.S. firms.

2. For the past year, I’ve been writing A Plan for Humanity – yes, seriously – because I’m consumed with the fate of our collective future. I wrote over 82 drafts of this monster. I hope you’ll read it, and I would enjoy hearing your reactions.

3. Finally, in March I got engaged to my best friend. She and I are two peas in a pod. I never imagined that a relationship could produce this much happiness and value.

I’ll be sending out emails every so often about human improvement, the future, and other interesting things.

Until next time,
Bryan
